About This Project

This pilot project aims to explore ways to enhance cooperation between the client and universities. To achieve this, a real-world case will be used to develop an innovative cooperative model.

The Challenge

In this industry, heavy machinery often experiences significant idle time while running, leading to unnecessary fuel consumption. Since the machinery operates in off-grid environments, relying solely on electric batteries is not feasible.

The project will begin with research on the duty cycles of the machinery to evaluate its technical feasibility and viability. This research will inform the development of a model to determine whether different types of machinery, currently in use, can be successfully refurbished to operate with a hybrid powertrain.

If the results are positive, a hybrid prototype will be built for real-life testing.
